The South African Health Technologies Advocacy Coalition (SAHTAC) held it’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 17 and 18 February 2022 at Southern Sun Elangeni Maharani in Durban. There were 22 coalition members that attended in person and 3 attended virtually. The guest presenter, Michelle Mulder, Executive Director: Grants Innovation and Product Development, South African Medical Research Council joined the meeting virtually and gave an insightful presentation titled’, Investing in health research and innovation in South Africa. The coalition took time to review and reflect on the highlights, successes, and challenges of 2021 to draw lessons and develop a workplan for 2022. A new steering committee was elected to provide strategic oversight for the coalition strategies and activities and will offer technical guidance to the secretariat.
